This is toasty and spicy, with baked cherries, dried strawberries and hints of hazelnuts and cloves. Medium- to full-bodied, taut and and structured, yet the tannins are fine and polished and run the whole length of the wine. Firm and focused. Drink or hold.

The 2020 Castello di Gabbiano Chianti Classico Riserva is a rich and elegant wine with aromas of ripe red cherries, plums, and hints of spices. On the palate, it is well-structured with flavors of dark fruit, leather, and a touch of earthiness, balanced by firm tannins and a long, smooth finish.

Varietal Composition: 95% SANGIOVESE, 5% MERLOT
