Liquorama Tasting Team Review
Rated 92
This is a fantastic wine from the 2020 vintage. The Domaine Notre Dame des Pallieres Rasteau La Coudouliere is a delightful blend of 70% Grenache, 15% Mourvedre, 10% Syrah, and 5% Cinsault, resulting in a complex and nuanced flavor profile. The solid black fruit flavors are prominent at first, but as you let the wine breathe, you are treated to a wide range of flavors such as earth, black olive, mint, herbs, smoke, coffee, black pepper, and mushrooms. The wine is surprisingly smooth for being so young, with tannins that have melded together perfectly to create a balanced, yet promising future for the wine.
Wine Tasting Notes
Domaine Notre Dame des Pallieres Rasteau La Coudouliere shows intense dark red cherry color, clean and shiny. The nose is elegant andcomplex, revealing aromas of black fruit such as blackcurrant, mulberry and blueberries, mixed with mild spices, garrigue and candied orange, finishing with a soft touch of oaksweetness. The mouthfeel is rich, fine and concentrated, embedded in some roundness. The long finish brings black cherries, chocolate, some peppers, fine tannins and menthol.
