Description
James Suckling Review
Rated 94 Points
An elegant and pretty complex expression with an array of red and black cherries, grilled spices, tapenade and roasted red pepper. Some firm, nicely chewy tannins on the medium- to full-bodied palate gives a tight structure to the juicy fruit. Dialled back and fresh. Shows the angular tannins from the granitic soils. Drinkable now, but better after 2024.
Wine tasting Notes
Lapostolle Cuvee Alexandre Apalta Cabernet Sauvignon showcases elegance and expressiveness, featuring rich aromas of ripe fruit, fresh cherry, black currant, and subtle toast. Its velvety palate is complemented by enduring tannins and a lingering finish. This wine remains true to its roots, embodying a timeless representation of Cabernet Sauvignon.
Enjoy now alongside a lamb shank seasoned with herbs or a pork chop glazed with mustard and honey, or age in the cellar for several years.
85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc, 4% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot
Alcohol 14.5%
