In the same realm, the 2019 Pinot Noir Radian Vineyard offers more red and blue fruits (black raspberries, cherries, blueberries) as well as ample minerality and graphite. It too is medium-bodied, utterly seamless, flawlessly balanced, and concentrated. As with all of these 2019s from Dees, it has slightly more texture and suppleness than past vintages and is going to drink nicely for a decade. Drinking window 2021-2031.

Wine Tasting Notes
The Hilt Radian Vineyard Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir is pure and dark Radian fruit (like ripe black raspberries) that dominates the nose alongside lifted notes of cracked pepper and game. Very perfumed and floral vintage, but also graced with the weight, tension and focus that define this venerable site. Vein of pure red fruit on the attack. Bright and concise. Plum skin tannin and black truffle. Buoyant and fresh, but not lacking fruit. Velvety texture and a dusty and long finish. An inviting, alive and sensual vintage with vibrancy and seemingly endless energy.
